The Quantum of the Seas was built at the Meyer Werft in record time and will provide space for 4,188 passengers. The 348 m long and 41,4 m wide vessel is the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany with a gross tonnage of 167,800 GT.

Last year we have already streamed the Float Out and the ems conveyance of the Norwegian Getaway live in moderate picture quality. Meanwhile, we have access to the technology like channel bonding, which is necessary to provide higher bandwidths for HD transmission.

In contrast to the earlier ships, the Quantum of the Seas remains about 7 weeks in the basin of the Meyer Werft shipyard after the float out. The ems conveyance is expected on 21 September. Probably more time is needed because the viewing platform “North Star” in addition to the chimneys can not be mounted inside the hangar.

Due to wind and weather, the dates may change at short notice. The exact time can only be announced shortly, too. So it’s worth, visit this site regularly.
